David's Biography: How lt began…
After receiving his first magic set at the age of 10, David knew that it would somehow become a part of his life forever. Not knowing what God had in store for him in the future, David would begin to hone his skill to the level of perfection.
High school seemed to be a testing ground for this new found art of his, as well as a time to discover that he truly enjoyed performing. To look back, one could see that God was laying the ground work for what was to come.
Once in college David would spend time seeking God’s direction for his life. After attending an FCM (Fellowship of Christian Magicians) conference his junior year, God would finally show him what He had planned. David wasted no time; he began to share the message of God’s love through the use of illusion.
After graduating from college David spent a year on the road with world renowned illusionist, Andre Kole. Andre works with Campus Crusade for Christ ministering to colleges, churches and other Christian organizations around the world, and Andre' is one of the top three inventors of illusions in the world. Upon his return from tour David had some special plans to take of, he would marry his beautiful, loving best friend, Kat. She is an integral part of his ministry as she manages the details; from booking shows to making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Drawing from his experience and knowledge he gleaned while working with Andre’, David brings his own unique style to the stage and presents the message of Jesus Christ with one goal: to change the world!
Tes·ti·mo·ny - firsthand authentication of a fact… an outward sign… an open acknowledgment… a public profession of religious experience.
David's Testimony & God's Plan...
I can still remember when I first went forward and accepted Christ into my life. I was six years old at the time and I was at our church’s Kid’s Camp. It was the last night before we packed up and went home, the camp speaker was standing in the front of the room, and my friends and I were sitting in the back of the room. He had been telling us all week how Jesus loved us and how we could have this special relationship with Him. I remember that night because he was very convincing in what he said. When he asked if any of us wanted to ask Jesus in to our lives, I went forward and accepted Christ.
For the next several years it was as if I was just going thru the motions. I knew I was a Christian, although I wasn’t doing anything to further my relationship with Christ. My high school years were somewhat uneventful; I went to a Christian school, was active in my youth group, and pretty much caught up in the business of being a teen. As I look back I could see that I did nothing to make my relationship with Christ more meaningful. In fact, it wasn’t until I got to college that I truly started to understand what it meant to be a Christian. After all the years of watching my parents live Christianity out by example it all started to make sense.
Now that I was in college I was faced with the question many young people are faced with, "What should I do with the rest of my life?" I had reached the point when I had to decide what career direction I would take, although God already had a plan.
Around the end of my sophomore year, I went with my parents to a Fellowship of Christian Magicians Conference in Adrian, MI. It was there that God would start to make the pieces of the puzzle come together. I had the opportunity to watch another magician share Christ through the use of illusion. That was it-- I knew what God wanted me to do, and it was not long after until I had my own show on the road and sharing Christ through the use of illusion, something I had been practicing since childhood. Graduating with a concentration in Christian Ministries and a Youth Ministries minor, I have set out to share Christ with others in my own unique way.
